Samuel Gawith Cabbie’s Rope is the traditional rope-format interpretation of the celebrated Cabbie’s Mixture, combining sweet Bright Virginia with Perique threaded throughout the blend. The tobaccos are wrapped in carefully selected whole leaves, spun into a traditional Rope / Twist on Samuel Gawith’s historic twist machinery, cooked, and then pressed for at least a week. Bright Virginia provides natural sweetness with hay, citrus and bready nuances, while Perique contributes fermented dark fruit, raisin, plum and peppery spice. A subtle touch of added sweetness rounds out the profile. Unlike the familiar Cabbie’s Mixture, which is hand-sliced into rustic coins, Cabbie’s Rope retains the complete rope presentation, allowing smokers to slice their own coins and offering an especially traditional Kendal tobacco experience with excellent aging potential.
