DTM Fred The Frog is a distinctive lightly aromatic Virginia/Perique mixture combining mature Virginia, Black Cavendish, a touch of Louisiana Perique, and a subtle hint of Latakia for restrained English character. Three different preparations — Cube Cut, Ready Rubbed, and Loose Cut — are blended together and finished with a delicate sweet licorice casing. Virginia provides natural sweetness, hay, citrus and gentle fruit, while Black Cavendish adds smoothness and soft sweetness. Perique contributes fermented fruit, plum and peppery spice, with Latakia adding just a faint smoky, woody undertone. The licorice remains restrained and complements rather than overwhelms the tobacco, resulting in an unusual crossover between a natural VaPer, a light English mixture and a lightly aromatic tobacco.
