DTM Salty Dogs is a traditional Navy Plug inspired by the old maritime style of pressed tobacco, combining several mature Virginias with a measured portion of Louisiana Perique, tightly pressed into a dense dark plug and lightly enhanced with Caribbean rum. Virginia dominates the profile with natural dark-fruit sweetness, citrus, bread, earth and fermented nuances, while Perique contributes fig, raisin, plum and restrained peppery spice. The rum remains subtle, adding warmth and gentle sweetness without overwhelming the natural tobacco character. Dense and slow-burning, Salty Dogs can be sliced into flakes, cube-cut or rubbed out according to preference.
