Gawith Hoggarth Exmoor Mixture is a traditional, naturally flavored Virginia/Burley/Latakia English mixture combining Virginia and Burley with a restrained touch of Latakia, without added flavoring. Virginia contributes natural sweetness, bread, hay and subtle dark-fruit notes, while Burley provides a nutty, toasted, woody and earthy foundation. A small proportion of Latakia adds gentle smoke, wood, leather and campfire nuances without dominating the blend. Medium in strength and balanced in character, Exmoor Mixture offers considerably more natural Virginia and Burley presence than a heavy Latakia-forward English blend. Originally created as a substitute for the discontinued W.O. Bigg’s Exmoor Hunt Mixture, it is an excellent all-day choice for smokers who appreciate traditional British mixtures with only a modest smoky accent.
