G.L. Pease Sixpence is a rich and nuanced Virginia/Perique blend from the Old London Series, built around fine Red Virginias, a generous portion of Perique, and a touch of Dark-Fired Kentucky. The tobaccos are delicately treated with a special spirit, then pressed, aged in cakes and sliced into Broken Flake. Red Virginia provides mature natural sweetness with bready, earthy and dark-fruit notes, while Perique contributes plum, raisin, fermented-fruit and peppery spice. Dark-Fired Kentucky adds body with woody, smoky and earthy depth, while the restrained spirit treatment rounds out the profile without turning Sixpence into a conventional aromatic. Medium in strength and taste, it is particularly suited to smokers who enjoy robust VaPers with additional dark-fired depth.
